License, permit question..

License, permit question..

Postby barsikjal » Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:11 am

Hiii.

I'm 17 years old.

And I don't have my permit,

primarily because I didn't think I would have the

chance to get a car.

Now I do.

I'm also moving back to New York where there is mass transit...and that was another reason why I didn't bother to get a my driving privelages.

Typically my school bus ride is about and hour and a half to and from school.

And quite frankly I'm sick of it.

Is it possible, under Florida Law to drive and 17 with a permit THAT far to school, by myself?

If not, would it be a better idea to wait till I'm 18, wait six months and then get the license?

You are not allowed to drive alone with only a permit. If you are caught you will get into big trouble. Just wait and get your license (although if you have no permit how do you even know how to drive?) before you start endangering everyone on the road.

You are not permitted to drive until you will have your license. You should wait for getting your license. The youngest drivers on our roads are, on the whole more dangerous, owing to their understandable lack of experience behind the wheel.
