I really just want to have everything done so I won't have to worry about it anymore cos from 45,000 going to 60,000 miles I just had some oil change services and a brake pad change. I didn't really wanna bother cos I wanted to wait until it got to 60,000 miles. and also my tires need to be replaced also. I was wondering if i could change the tires later after the service.

Re: What does a 60,000 mile service include on a car honda civic 2004 lx and what is the average cost. for the honda civic the 60,000

for the honda civic the 60,000 service includes the oil and filter change, tire rotation, brake inspection, air conditioning filter change, engine air filter change, transmission fluid change (do not flush the transmission! just change the fluid) and the regular inspections of the steering, suspension, undercarriage and topping off the fluids.

most honda dealers charge in the neighborhood of $250-$300 for the service. you don't need to do anything with the engine coolant, spark plugs, timing belt or valve adjustment on that car until 110,000 miles.

There really isn't anything more to do.

Hope that helps

It depends where you take it for service.

I think dealership service schedules are pretty standard. (The schedules detail what's included in 7500, 15,000, 30,000, 60,000, etc. mile service.)

You can probably find these on the Honda website or in the manual that came with your car. I'm sure any local Honda dealer would provide you with the schedules as well. In fact, if you look on their website the schedules are probably there along with the prices.

If you go to an independent repair place, their schedules and prices are probably going to be different.

Another thing to consider is that at the dealer they probably use genuine Honda parts, whereas at an independent place they probably do not unless you specifically ask. Some people make a big deal out of using genuine Honda parts, probably because they tend to cost more. But at least you know they were made for your car.

As for the tires, you'd probably make out better price-wise going to Costco, Big O Tires, or some place like that. Also, these places will usually rotate your tires for free for the life of the tires (if you buy them there). This will save you since most dealers and independent shops charge $10-15/tire for rotating them.

Re: What does a 60,000 mile service include on a car honda civic 2004 lx and what is the average cost. There's a 120-point inspect

There's a 120-point inspection for the 60,000 mile service (I'm pretty sure).

That 60,000 mile service is considered major service so you definitely have to get it done.

What the chick above me said is just about accurate, with a couple extra things.

Generally, if you take your vehicle to Honda, ballpark charge (without extra parts and service for those parts) is under 300 bux, but normally over 150.

There's always the chance that they'll find parts that need replacement and that is usually what heightens the end price.

Be sure to ask them to do the major service FIRST, and thereafter provide you with an invoice of the other components that require additional service and/or parts not included in the major service.

That way you'll at least know that the major service is taken care of, and the additional issues can be taken care of whenever you can pay for it.

I think it will usually cost $250-$300 for a Honda Civic repair. Just make sure you have everything checked every once in a while. Good luck.

It involves messy calculation. I can reach to some how acceptable numbers but for this allow me fair amount of time. Fair enough?
