Why does my Honda Foreman 450S jump out of 1st and 2nd gear under acceleration.

Why does my Honda Foreman 450S jump out of 1st and 2nd gear under acceleration.

I have a 2004 Honda Foreman 450 S with 1516 miles and 260 ish hours. Under even moderate acceleration it will jump out of gear, or not shift into it entirely. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to remedy this situation?

The shifter linkage needs to be adjusted. If there is no adjustment there then it is internal and the shifting fork will need to be adjusted. The gearbox will have to be disassembled to do this.

how can a 4 year old car only have 1516 miles cuz if you bought it that way that right there is your prob the average milage to drive is 10-15 thousand miles a year. if that true engine is messed the last owner messed around with things and broke it

Pork Belly Strips on a George Foreman grill, good idea or bad ? I have a George Foreman grill thingy still in the box, and I brought home two packs of pork belly strips with the view to using it to cook them - good idea or disaster waiting to happen ?

This post has been around for a couple of months but just in addition. Agree with gromilops. the linkage shifter needs to be adjusted or probably, you can replace the whole transmission. Anyway, there are a lot of Honda parts out there and its up for you to choose from depending on the brand and quality of the product.
