it should level off at about 200*. however if your sitting in traffic on a hot day, its not unusual for it to climb up to 215*.

most cars are about 240F as the upper limit, but it should run at about 185F to 200F

my grand am would run about 230 degrees before the fan would kick on and cool it down to about 210.

the thermostat on your car is set at 195 so the temp has to go above that in order to open,typcally around 200-205 the max temp to where you need to turn motor off so it doesnt blow head gasket and over heat is around 230 deg.

Hi,
According to my knowledge most of cars are run about 240F as the upper limit, but it should run at about 185F to 200F.
