The car starts like a champ and then after a couple of days it sounds as if it isn't going to start but does. Then after about 10 days, won't start. Leave it sit for several hours and it will start up with gusto. The whole cycle starts again. Been to a Pontiact dealer among others and they have no idea what the problem is.

yes usually its the ignition module. You got all the symptoms of it and it sounds like its going to start but doesnt.Coils do the same thing as ignition modules, then the battery cables got the same symptoms too...its one of these problems is all not to worry if you got a good mechanic.

There are actually several factors that could lead to starting problems and these include the alternator, the crank position sensor or might be also the battery. Try checking the wires that are connected to the battery or just drag your car to the mechanic for diagnostic. Anyway, there are replacement Pontiac parts available on local shops as well as online and truly they are discounted and available at cheap prices.
